Service Description

Teen Art Lab: Pottery & Clay Friday 6/19 9 am - 2 pm Ages 13-17 $89 per person Make it a summer of playing in the mud for your teen with our Summer Teen Art Lab: Pottery & Clay. In this day long experience, teens will get their hands dirty exploring the art of ceramics and working with clay through taking a pottery wheel for a spin as well as learning to build by hand. Teens will learn techniques and skills used to create beautiful functional art. In addition to creating from clay, teens will engage in glazing techniques on pre-made pottery allowing them to build a foundational skill set in painting pottery. Other small projects using modeling clay, polymer clay and other 3d materials will be introduced for individual exploration. Additional Perk: Due to the nature of this art lab, teens will have the opportunity to return at a later date after pieces have dried and been kiln fired to paint the pieces they build during the art lab. This art lab is a great opportunity for teens to explore if our fall weekly clay classes are a good fit for them. Teens will break for lunch or snacks, so feel free to bring your own or enjoy a few snacks from us.
