Clay Camp For Kids July 20–23 • Ages 8–12 • Monday–Thursday • 9am–2pm Get your hands dirty with playing in the mud, um, we mean clay all day long each day of our Kids Clay Camp. Each day features a new project allowing kids to explore the world of pottery. From hand built projects, glazing techniques, exploring polymer clay and even taking the pottery wheel for a spin, campers will dive into a world of 3-D art and the magical world of clay creations. To wrap up the week, each child receives a special cupcake from our neighbors at Smallcakes of Athens. What Campers Will Do Explore various clay media like polymer clay, model magic, and kiln fired clay. Learn the art of painting on pottery with fun and new techniques Try their hands on the pottery wheel and learning the skills of wheel thrown pottery Dive into custom creations made through hand building and slab techniques Play engaging build and smash style games to foster additional clay skills while building friendships Celebrate the week with a special cupcake treat BONUS: Due to the nature of this camp, some projects will need to be left to dry and be fired in our kiln. Campers will be invited back at their convenience to come glaze their pieces once they return from the kiln. So the camp fun continues even when camp has ended.
