Geography Adventures Through Travel Planning Instructor: Michelle Fentress Grades: 7th-12th Tuition: $45 monthly Supply Fee: $15 per semester Tuesdays 9:50 am August 26 - December 9th (No Class Oct 14 & Nov 25) Embark on an exciting journey around the globe, right from your classroom! In this hands-on geography course, students will learn about the world by planning their dream trips. This course combines geographical exploration, cultural immersion, and financial literacy to offer practical life skills in a fun and engaging way. Students will: *Geography Focus:* Discover continents, countries, and regions while learning map skills, climate zones, and geographical features. *Cultural Understanding:* Explore the languages, traditions, cuisines, and histories of different cultures to design authentic travel experiences. *Financial Planning:* Build budgets for trips by researching costs for transportation, accommodation, meals, and activities. Develop real-world math skills and financial literacy. Throughout the course, students will create detailed travel itineraries while collaborating with peers, using creative tools, and presenting their plans.
