Speak Up! Communication Skills for Real Life Instructor: Alicia Holman Grades 8-12 Tuition: $45 monthly Supply Fee: $20 per semester Tuesdays 10:40am August 26 - December 9th (No Class Oct 14 & Nov 25) Students will step up their communication game in this lively, hands-on class designed to make public speaking and communication skills fun and approachable. In Speak Up!, participants will learn everything they need to confidently express themselves in any situation. From writing the perfect email to mastering a handshake with impactful eye contact, students will develop essential skills for professional and personal communication. Through interactive activities such as games, role-playing, and group challenges, they will practice speaking in small groups, presenting to larger audiences, and interpreting verbal cues and body language. By the end of the class, students will leave with lifelong skills to crush presentations, hold meaningful conversations, and make lasting impressions in their community and beyond. This course provides innovative approaches to communication, ensuring students gain confidence and have fun while learning.
