Tweens and Teens Threads & Textures Ages 9-12 | Wednesdays @ 5pm August 12-November 18 Ready to replace the phone in their hand with something else? In this sampler style class, students will explore the world of fabric crafts & fiber arts through hand sewing, embroidery, cross stitch, weaving, and crochet. Trying a new skill every few weeks, students will gain knowledge and opportunity to express creativity in the world of functional fiber arts. What Will We Learn: * Introduction to hand sewing, embroidering, cross stitch, weaving, and crochet * How various fabric crafts and fiber arts can be used in new forms of art styles * Explore new techniques, stitches, methods and more to create modern, functional and exciting projects As a sampler style class, students will scratch the surface of each method learning the fundamentals and beginning a project in each method. As the semester progresses, students will be given the option to choose which project they would like to work more in depth on and can continue to work in that style. How Do We Learn: We are a project based studio where students are taught an art concept then presented with a theme that will allow them to practice and demonstrate the concept. Within the theme, students are encouraged to demonstrate their knowledge and skill in a way that highlights their creativity. Same lesson, different creative expressions. Additional Details: Our studio hosts an end of semester Student Art Show where students will be invited to show pieces of their art in a museum art show format that they can invite their friends and family to. Tuition: $300 We provide two different tuition options: 1. Tuition paid in full on the first day of class is eligible for a 10% discount. 2. Tuition is divided into 4 installments (August, September, October, November) and auto drafted for your convenience. No payment is due at the time of registration.

Cancellation Policy
Semester Classes: This is a collection of classes where your tuition has been broken into installment payments and you pay for the whole series before or on the 1st class or auto drafted in four payments. There will be no refunds or prorating for missed classes. If a class is missed due to illness or family emergency, the student will be given the option to schedule a make-up class. A student will be provided 2 make-up class opportunities per semester. All make-up lessons are at the availability of an instructor. All make-up lessons must be used within one week of the end of the semester that the absences occurred. Make-Up lessons will consist of making up any missed work during class or a review of concepts taught during the missed class. Students are not entitled to new and/or different content from what they missed in their absence. Students with extenuating circumstances will be handled on a family/student basis. Make-up policies are a courtesy extended to our students as we know life can throw curveballs. If a student/family chooses to abuse this policy, we reserve the right to revoke make-up opportunities to individuals and/or entire classes. If the whole semester class is canceled by the studio, full refunds will be issued to students. If a single class is cancelled by the studio, a make-up date will be provided. High demand classes may require a deposit to hold your spot. This deposit will be applied to your overall tuition. No refunds will be given on deposits to hold your student's spot should you cancel.
